Computer Tip - Temporary Internet Files and Data Security

Along with today's tip, I am sending you a link to a great piece of software called ilsystem Wiper or ilsystem Cleaner ..
IISystem Wiper allows you to clear the history of your activities from your computer. Many programs store information about your activities on your personal computer. Some of this information is easy to clear, such as the History, but other information can be hard to locate and clear, for example the cookie index file. IISystem Wiper allows you to clear this information with a click of a button.

In addition to the lack of privacy this stored information causes, the files can also take up large amounts of space on you hard drive. Internet Explorer's temporary files can take up hundreds of megabytes of space.
This one has some more software in some data security categories
Enjoy today's tip ...
Tip of the Day
Clear Your Temporary Internet Files
As you surf the web, every page, every graphic, cookie, etc. Is saved in your temporary Internet files. Why is this? Well, for one, if you visit a page often it brings up the files from the cache rather than getting them online, thus making the page appear quicker. The down side is that this can cause an old page to come up when content may have changed on the real page. Another negative is that these cached pages take up space on your hard drive.
The good news is that you can dump them. If you regularly run Disk Cleanup, then the Temporary Internet Files will be emptied in the process. Go to Start/Programs/ Accessories/ System Tools . DC looks for files you don't need then displays them. Make sure that "temporary Internet Files" is selected then click OK .
If you just want to remove temp files, with Internet Explorer you go to Tools/Internet Options , then under "Temporary Internet Files" click the "Delete Files" button.
With Netscape go to Edit/Preferences and click the "Advanced" arrow. Select "cache" and you'll see buttons to clear Memory Cache and Disk Cache.
There are also software programs like Spring Cleaning & Internet Cleanup that will empty your temp files automatically and monitor your cookies, only allowing in those you specify.
You should regularly clean out your Temporary Internet files to save space and increase security. In addition, if your temp file gets too full you'll find that when you try to save a JPEG it will only save as a bitmap. Not sure why that is.

One easy way to switch between programs you have open is to hit ALT+TAB. A small box will pop up with icons for all the currently open programs (even settings windows that don't display on the tool bar—like display properties for instance).
Hold down ALT, then simply hit TAB until the window you're looking for is highlighted.
Notice that as you tab, the title bar information is displayed below the icons.
Oh, also—hold down the ALT & SHIFT key while hitting TAB to go backwards through the list.
